Van Toen & Van Nu
Galerie De Witte Voet
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
November 1st 2014 to December 20th 2014
This group exhibition mirrors the associated exhibition in celebration of one hundred years of ceramic activity at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The artists represented by Galerie De Witte Voet in this presentation have each at the beginning of their careers spent time studying in the ceramic department of this influential academy. Works presented in this exhibition are a combination of pieces, juxtaposing work made at an early moment in the artist's career with one from a recent series.
This exhibition celebrated the one hundred year history of the ceramic department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. During its hundred years the department has helped to deliver a large number of visual artists who have made significant impressions in the visual art field in Holland and internationally. The exhibition presented a selection of works from leading artists who have passed through the department and who are representative of developments and practice throughout this hundred year history.
One Hundred Years Gerrit Rietveld Academie Ceramic
Gemeentemuseum Den Haag
Stadhouderslaan 41, Den Haag, The Netherlands
November 8th 2014 to May 3rd 2015
This group exhibition is an annual presentation of sculpture held in and around the castle ruins and surrounding gardens of the historic Ravesteyn estate in the south of Holland. The grounds are formed by a variety of gardens which encircle the remains of the castle at the garden's centre. For this event I installed a number of figurative works on a central wooded pathway leading up to the castle. As if the sculptures were traversing and following each other along a specially prepared walkway. The exhibition is organised by Stichting Stede en Vrije Heerlykheit.
